STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS I chose Simple Designs to assist me in achieving structural calculations required for a regularisation request I had for a rooflight fitted in 2012, without certification. Although I was notrequired to apply, due to the length of time the rooflight had been in situ. If I was to sell my property in the future, the lack of certification held by building Control could delay the selling process. I decided this route if I were to sell the property in years to come. My initial conversation with Simon was very informative, what seemed a complex situation, was explained to me and this put me at ease straight away. Having provided Simon with as much information as possible with some line drawings, he set to work on the calculations. A timescale of 3 weeks was given, Simon achieved this within 2 weeks excellent news for me.  Simple Design Services carried out a design for supporting a chimney which involved a series of steels on two floors. They kept me informed of progress as the design was being drawn up and were always polite and responsive. Simon was prompt and on time for the site visit and produced very thorough and detailed plans shortly after his site visit.
